Trump Plans to Break Law Again

By Driss El-Hassan

A whistleblower from within the Federal Government’s Social Security Administration (SSA) recently revealed a conspiratorial plan by the Trump Administration to assign false death dates to 2.7 million American immigrants with the intention of forcing them to leave the country.

The whistleblower, a former IT worker within the SSA named Jeremiah Schofield, first exposed the scandal earlier this month in a 49-page disclosure to Senators Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) and Richard Blumenthal (D-CT).

Before leaving the agency in October, Schofield alleged that he refused to comply with the conspiracy after SSA attorneys advised against it, citing federal law violations. Schofield described a “Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE)” official detailing how declaring 2.7 million living people dead would make the lives of immigrants so miserable that they be forced to either self-deport or show up at Social Security offices for help, where they could be arrested. “I was shocked. I couldn’t believe what I was hearing,” remarked Schofield.

Senators Warren and Blumenthal have sent letters to the SSA and former DOGE operatives to get answers on this plan, yet have received no clear answers.

If this plan were to be successful, 2.7 million immigrants, many of whom are lawful permanent residents and naturalized citizens would face financial peril. If one is registered as dead to the federal government, then they are ineligible to receive any financial services, including but not limited to bank accounts, credit cards, apartment leases, car loans, and health insurance.

Not only would this plan have ostracized individual immigrants from participating in American society, but it most certainly would have also ruined the lives of their children, including DACA recipients who, despite being promised a fair shake in becoming Americans, are now having their DACA renewals delayed and are actively antagonized and threatened by the Trump administration and their lackeys. DACA recipients in their 30s and 40s are under risk to instantly lose the careers and lives they’ve built for over a decade, being treated as national security threats despite having proven to contribute to American society.

It is clear that the Trump regime, in the nature of a playground bully, has decided to vilify and demonize the most vulnerable section of American society: the foreign born. In the interests of the monopoly capitalists, the Trump administration is actively employing various tactics, both legal and illegal, to overrule and undermine immigrants’ rights of due process and equality before the law.

The communists, equipped with the ideological means to undermine all forms of oppression within capitalist society, are unequivocally opposed to any and all attempts of monopoly capital to foment disunity, division, and bestial hatred amongst the oppressed strata of the American people. American Reds, participating in all social movements of American society, harbor no illusions of monopoly capitalism lessening their brutality and cruelty without an All-Peoples Alliance to uproot the source of racism, xenophobia, and all social reaction: the capitalist system and its cronies.

As comrade Gus Hall remarked, “In the struggle it is necessary not only to step on the toes of the monopoly corporations. But it’s necessary to step on their necks.”
