The Party and the Youth

Above all, the model Communist youth understands that without the Party, discipline and study amounts to unfulfilled results.

The Party is the highest school of revolutionary development. It is where individual enthusiasm turns into collective power. The Party provides unity of theory plus practice, the continuity of struggle, and the moral foundation that can only be given by a Marxist-Leninist Party.

Communist youth must be under the leadership of the Party because the Party embodies the historical experience of the working class. To separate young Communists from their Party is to separate oxygen from all living things.

Within the Party, young Communists learn how to build real power. This can never be learned in non-Party political movements or street protests. Young Communists learn to connect small struggles to great ones, seeing their personal growth develop as part of the collective struggle of humanity. They learn that Communism is not just a positive utopian idea, but a practical, planned way of living.

The Party draws creativity and moral fire from its youth. The relationship between Communist youth and their Party is dialectical. The passion of Communist youth is tempered by the Party’s historical experience and the Party’s potential is renewed by youth’s vitality and conviction.
