From Romanticism to Revolution

Despair and romanticizing revolution are both alien to Communist youth. This rejection embodies a future of rising out of the ruins of a decaying economic system. The model youth communist studies like an engineer, organizes like a soldier, and loves the people like a poet. They are on one hand serious and disciplined and on the other hand joyful, humble and bold, and creative.

Neither the Communist movement has no room for cynics who think the world cannot change, nor does it have room for those who cry “Revolution!” but are unwilling to organize for a better society. The Party and its youth need builders who understand that struggle is not glamorous but that it is a construction project, one that begins with the reconstruction of ourselves.

The communists of the past proved that ordinary people, armed with science, organization, and faith in humanity, can overturn empires. The communists of the present must prove that this faith can be rebuilt and developed.

So what does a model youth communist look like?

They are the one who shows up on time.

Who studies after work.
